This is a name that you choose to give your profile and will be displayed at the top of your profile page.
Your username is part of your Boltblue login details, and also forms part of your Boltblue webmail email address. By creating a profile name that is different from your username, you will be protecting your login and email contact details by keeping them private.
The error message will be displayed either because someone has already registered the name meaning that it is not unique or that the name you have entered has been reported as abusive, offensive, racist, sexist or inappropriate in some way. To complete the registration you’ll need to create a new Username and/or Profile Name.
Have you already begun the registration process and been told about the TIN code? if so, you will need to go to a different page
If this does not apply to you, this may mean someone by mistake when they were registering and entered your mobile number in error. If they haven't informed us of their mistake, their registration will remain in the system. If you think this may be the case, please send an email to help@boltblue.com for further investigation.
To use Boltblue services you must be 16 years of age or older. By providing your date of birth you are confirming your age.
Your date of birth will not be displayed on your profile page, only your age in years. You can choose to not display your age on your profile by ticking the hide box. However by displaying your age, you are more likely to have other members contact you who are of a similar age and share the same interests.
Simply click in the box that contains the question, delete and write your own.
The maximum number of questions you can enter and add to your profile is three.
Questions and answers will only appear on your profile page if you enter an answer in the entry field. If this is left empty, the question will not appear.
To activate your account you must verify your identify. To do this we send a text message to your mobile phone containing a TIN code. You’ll need to enter the TIN code on our site.
If you did not receive a TIN code, please click here
If you have received a TIN code but have lost or deleted it before entering the code onto the site, please click here and request a new code
If you have already entered the TIN code and your profile has still not been activated, please email help@myboltblue.com

There are two ways in which you can create and add people to your friend list. One way to really get your friend list started is to invite your friends and family to join the My Boltblue service and create a profile. Another way to kick start your list is to search My Boltblue to find other members with the same interests as you and invite them to join your list via their profile page by clicking ‘Add as Friend’.
Click on the ‘invite friends’ link within the account management area. This will bring you thru to a page where you can enter in the email addresses of the people you want to invite along with a personal message. To send the invitation, just press submit.
To add or edit your ‘Top Friends’ you’ll need to go to your friend’s management page. A link to this can be found within your account management area. Once you are in ‘friends management’ you can add a maximum of four friends as ‘Top Friends’ by marking the check box underneath your friends profile picture. You can change your top friends as often as you like. To remove someone from ‘Top Friends’, just uncheck the box beneath their profile picture.
No, removing a top friend just means that they will not be displayed on your profile page. They will still appear in your friend list, unless you decide to delete them.
You can delete friends from your friend list by marking the check box beneath their profile picture in your friend’s management area. Once you have selected the friend/friends you want to delete, just press the submit button and the friend/friends will be deleted from your list.
You can stop a member from viewing your profile page, content and communication by blocking them. To do this you’ll need to visit the profile page of the member you want to block, and then click the block button. The member will instantly be removed from your friend’s list and all access to your profile, content and communication blocked.
If another member’s behaviour makes you feel uncomfortable in anyway, and you would rather that they didn’t have access to your profile, content or ability to contact you, then you should put a block in place.
No, all communication channels will be blocked. The member will no longer be able to view your profile, so they will not be able to leave you comments on your page.
We do not notify members when they are blocked from another person’s page, unless they try to visit a profile that they are blocked from. When trying to view a blocked profile a system message will be displayed informing the member that they do not have access to the profile.
Blocking is a simple way to make sure that everyone is comfortable. If somebody has blocked you, it is most likely your interaction with them is outside their comfort zone .
Yes you can, simply go to the block/unblock page (a link to this page can be found within your account management area) and you’ll see a list of the members that are currently blocked from your profile. Select the member you want to unblock using the check box underneath their profile image and then press submit. The members access to your profile will then be restored.
